When Jane Eyre was a child, her father and mother died. She lived in her uncle’s house. But his wife was not kind to her. Then they sent her to Lowood School. All the girls there were unhappy. It was because they did not have parents. Mr. Brocklehurs was bad to her. But Miss Temple was kind to her. When she grew up, she left the school. She became a teacher to a girl called Adele. Jane Eyre met Mr. Rochester one day and decided to get married. But at the wedding, a man of the law said they could not wed. It was because Mr. Rochester had a wife Bertha and she was still alive but she was mad. Jane Eyre left. She went to St. John’s house (St. John was her cousin). One day she knew Mr. Rochester was looking for her. Her dead uncle had left a lot of money to her. She found Mr. Rochester and they were married. They also had a son. The story is wonderful. At the beginning of the story Jane Eyre did not have her father’s and mother’s care and her uncle’s wife usually hurt her.I think she is very pitiful. Author: Charlotte Bronte Publisher: Longman
