The story begins with the death of the King and the succession of Claudius, which urges Prince Hamlet to dash back to the country. Unexpectedly, he met the ghost of the King on the way, who came to unmask Claudius, the actual killer of the murder, to Hamlet. This evokes his blazing fury and thoughts of revenge, leading to the extreme tragedy later. Just after Hamlet had fallen in love with Ophelia, Claudius sent him to England on the pretext of the King’s death and conspired with the ruler there to kill him. However, the plot turns out to be in vain, since Hamlet fled back to his country by making use of the pirates. Yet Ophelia died due to the escape, stimulating her brother Laertes to wage a life-and-death battle with Hamlet in return, which causes untold damage to both sides. Ultimately, Laertes reveals the truth of the King’s death to everybody, infuriating Hamlet to kill Claudius before his death.
