This book is about a murder case in a country house. Katrina Kirby, whose nickname was ‘K’, was responsible for this case. Sir Michael Gray was murdered in his study room, but the door and windows of the room were locked inside. K found that there were five people in the house when Sir Michael was murdered. They were Lady Elizabeth Gray, Michael’s wife, Colonel William Fawcett, Michael’s friend, Miss Angela Everett, Michael’s secretary and also his lover, Andrew Cavell, Elizabeth’s brother, and Mrs Nancy Flack, who was Michael’s housekeeper. One of them killed Michael. Who was the murderer? K looked into the case in great detail and found the murderer who was out of her expectation. This book has a well-knit plot and there is a lot of suspense. Reading this book, you can improve your ratiocination skill because in the end of the book, you can guess who the murderer is and you need to think of reasons to support your view.
