I am a big fan of Captain Underpants! The stories of the series are simple but hilariously funny! When I feel exhausted, I will pick a story and enjoy a lovely evening. Apart from its stories, I appreciate its author, Dav Pilkey, much more. He used to be poor in reading and writing when he was a student. He couldn't behave well in class and often had to sit at a desk in the school hallway as a punishment. However, Dav loved drawing and painting. Having the punishment, he would draw some stories and share them with his friends. The characters of the Captain Underpants series were born under such circumstances.
