This is a young adult novel which follows the growing pains and new experiences Greg Heffley has relating to getting older as he continues middle school. It is the fifth book in Kinney’s ‘Wimpy Kid’ series. Greg always looks forward to growing older and doing more mature things in life, but he comes to realize that there are other aspects of growing older, such as increased responsibilities. Despite the seemingly serious theme, this novel is as hilarious as any other books in the ‘Wimpy Kid’ series. It is such a pleasurable story that I finished reading it in one go.
